A few more pictures from her 19 month shoot

19 months

So i had initially wanted to do 18 month pictures but due to crappy weather and both of us being sick this will technically be her 19 month photos. This is only a few of the many pictures and i'll post a few more later when i'm done editing them and such.

Today

So i did go out to try and beat the storm, and i did get a few good shots but the storm clouds came in so fast i didn't get much time. I would love to try this shoot again with more time. I really liked the location.

Oh the weather

So i wanted to go out and take some pictures today, yesterday the weather network said it was going to be warm and very small chance of rain but now it's saying a thunder storm is coming and the temperature is way cooler. How can they not predict the weather a little more accurately a day advance? I mean i could understand a week, weather is unpredictable....but one day. I looked outside and it's sunny and warmish so i may still take serenity out anyways and snap a few. Hopefully the good morning weather holds up.

Death

Every living organism has to die, we all see the end. Every man will die, but not every man will live. Stop looking for the bigger, better tomorrow and start enjoying the little things today.

This was what i did in my spare time today as serenity napped.

New edit of an old picture

So this was one of her photos from her first birthday and i decided to re edit it.

I used smart photo fix and just played with the levels until it looked right, then i whitened the eye whites, darkened the lash line and finished it off with some sharpening.

Usually when i take picture i rush with my editing, i don't know how to do much and i usually just sharpen and brighten and that's it. However, i want to commit a little more time into editing my pictures, it seems to make a huge difference when i put more effort and time into individual pictures.

My first blog

Hello,

My name is Maxine, I am 22 years old and currently living in Canada. I have a 1 year old daughter named Serenity, she is the inspiration behind the name of my future business and she is my beautiful model for the majority of my pictures.

I first started getting into photography at the age of 16, I would take pictures of old burnt down barns and anything deceased and decayed. I found beauty in what most people considered ugly. I didn't have a fancy camera but that never stopped me from pursuing my passion. Eventually I saved to buy a half decent camera and i continue to pursue what i love. I hope to take courses in photography this summer and also a photoshop course to improve my skills.

Right now i shoot with an olympus e 520, not the greatest or most expensive but it takes great pictures and serves it's purpose for me well. I use pspx2 to edit and i'm hoping to get lightroom soon when number 3 comes out.
